CapEx Recruitment are working in partnership with a construction firm in the North Dublin area on the appointment of a Senior Buyer.

Reporting directly to the Group Procurement Manager, you will lead the coordination and sourcing of plant and materials, ensuring best value, quality, and timely delivery for projects.

Salary is negotiable to match the expectations of the individual.

Responsibilities in your new role:

• Source and develop relationships with key suppliers
• Negotiate the best price and lead times with suppliers whilst continually monitoring performance
• Frequently liaise with site management, commercial teams and other relevant departments
• Assist the Group Procurement Manager with preparing the monthly director's report
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and relevant legal, safety and sustainability standards
• Mentor more junior members of the procurement team
• Assist project teams with submittal processes
• Handle day-to-day queries regarding fleet, whilst ensuring the fleet asset register is always up to date, to include accurate mileage readings
• Ensure supplier accounts do not go on hold because of ageing invoices
• Issuing monthly consumable costing to the finance department to allow correct job costings

What you will need to succeed:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a fast-paced procurement role with exposure to building materials
• Solid knowledge of the construction industry
• Proficiency with systems as well as all Microsoft Office applications
